About the Doctors


Dennis M. Finton, DMD

A graduate of The College of Wooster, and Temple University School of Dentistry, Dr. Dennis M. Finton has provided the highest quality of dental care to children and adults since 1985. He lectures and is a published author. Dr. Dennis is a member of the Crawford County Dental Society, Ninth District Dental Society of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of Sports Dentistry. He has served on the faculty of Temple University School of Dentistry, and is currently an associate member of the medical/dental staff at Meadville Medical Center.

Dr. Dennis is also a member of several civic organizations, including the Meadville Medical Center Foundation, Meadville Wolves Club and the Crawford County Chamber of Commerce. He is a deacon and an elder at First Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Dennis and his wife Marci, a Dental Hygienist, have two children, Drew and Cole. His hobbies include swimming, waterskiing and playing the trumpet.


Abe M. Finton, DDS

Dr. Abe Finton has provided gentle, quality dental services since 1958. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Juniata College, and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Pennsylvania; graduating with honors.

Dr. Abe served as a U.S. Navy Dental Office from 1958 to 1961. Subsequently, he served on reserve duty in the U.S. Dental Corps, and retired as a Commander in 1978. See also, "Dr Abe Finton, Life Changing Experience".

 He is a lecturer and maintains professional memberships with the Crawford County Dental Society, Ninth District Dental Society of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Abe is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International College of Dentists. He is also a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

An active member of his community, Dr. Abe was recognized as Rotary Meadville Citizen of the Year in 1990 and 1997. In 2002, he received the Governor Raymond P. Shafer Award for Distinguished Community Service.

Dr. Abe is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Meadville. He and his late wife Jeanne had three sons. He currently resides in Meadville with his wife Mitzi.  Dr. Abe enjoys boating and is a Naval and Civil War Historian. He is also a member of the Crawford County Historical Society-Civil War Roundtable.
